Consignment Envy has taken measures to equip our customers with as much information as possible regarding our consignment policies. The following should provide answers to frequently asked questions. ACCEPTANCE OF CONSIGNMENT ITEMS
Call Ahead - Contact our store before arriving with your items. This provides an opportunity to schedule a convenient time, provide information on pre-approving your items, furniture pick-up services and answer any questions you may have. Scheduling saves our customers valuable time!
Terms of Consignment Items - Each consignor will be asked to sign a 90 day consignment agreement unless otherwise agreed in writing. The general terms equal 50% of each item sales price.
Items Accepted Upon Approval - Quality furniture and furnishings to include: Contemporary, New, Vintage, Retro, Traditional, Unique and Unusual, and a few Antiques. We also consider framed artwork, art deco, lamps, selective Glass Wares, Crystal, and Seasonal Items. Our store prides itself in offering an eclectic mix of fun and interesting items for our customers along with our everyday quality furnishings! We would welcome the opportunity to include yours!
Pre-Approving Merchandise - You may email us at email@example.com or bring photos of your consignment items at any time during normal business hours. Smaller items may be brought to the store for approval. Please understand we can only accept those items in which our customers will purchase. Consignment Envy reserves the right to limit the number of items to be consigned at any one time. In addition, reserves the right to refuse an item based on space availability, marketability, and/or item(s) better suited in a different environment.
Preparing Merchandise - All items must be clean and in good condition. Our store cannot accept merchandise in need of repair or refinishing; nor does it accept merchandise with torn, faded, or stained fabric. Your items should be dusted, polished, waxed, and screws tightened when necessary. There will be a $10.00 fee applied for each item(s) delivered in need of cleaning by our busy Consignment Envy staff. We will be happy to provide tips for the removal of stickers or labels. We cannot accept item(s) that carry smoke, pet, or strong odors. Remember, you want your items to sell!
Pricing - Many things do not reveal themselves in a photo. We must physically see the item in order to arrive at an accurate price. Any information you can provide on your item will be helpful in determining the price. After inspecting your item(s) we consider the age, original price, style, marketability and, of course, input from our consignor is valuable information! You may recommend a price for consideration, however we cannot accept consignments if we feel the price recommended is too high.
Approved Items - You may bring your item(s) to the store during normal business hours. 48 hours notice is required before bringing your item(s) in the store. Please bring help to unload and set up your larger, heavier item(s). Consignment Envy can provide options if Consignor needs assistance with transporting item(s) for a fee.
Items may be removed at any time. Items(s) removed before the end of consignment agreement will be subject to a storage fee of 25% of total sales priced on each item.
Our staff works diligently staging your items in our nearly 5500 square feet showroom and consults with each customer; providing the best marketable environment for selling your items as quickly as possible. We want your consignment to be a successful adventure!
ITEMS NOT SOLD AT END OF CONSIGNMENT
1. You may extend your item(s) by mutual written agreement and agreed upon reduced sales price, if necessary.
2. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you may pick up your item(s) within 7 days of expiration of consignment agreement. If arrangements for item(s) have not been made and item(s) not picked up, they will become eligible for donation.
3. All items left with Consignment Envy are left at the Owner’s (also known as Consignor) risk. Legendary Consignment & Resale assumes no liability and/or responsibility for the loss, damage, delivery, or destruction of any item(s) consigned.
